Security Configuration

It is strongly recommended that you change the factory default user name and password of the Device. All users who try to access the Devices web-based utility and remote controllers will be prompted for the Devices user name and password.

The default user name is: user. Default password is: 1111.

Password Help

The new user name and password must not exceed 14 characters in length and must not include any spaces. User name cannot contain any special characters. Enter the new Password twice to confirm it.

Enable/Disable Authentication Use with caution!

Disabling Security of the system allows anybody to connect to the device web-based control and with remote client without authorization!

Note:

Embedded web-based utility requires BASIC HTTP Authorization - this authorization scheme exchanges clear text passwords between controller and client browser and can be captured by network sniffers and malicious software.

Remote Clients communicate with controller via highly secured SSH2 tunnel protocol. Exchanging the user credentials are encrypted and cannot be captured.
